First Data Supports Extension of Berlin Public Transport Service
ATM Deployment Programme

Frankfurt, August 31, 2010

First Data Corporation, a global leader in electronic commerce and payment processing, and its subsidiary TeleCash, one of the leading network service providers (NSP) for the processing of card payments in Germany, have been selected by Urbanis, part of Berlin’s Public Transport Service, to operate approximately 50 additional ATMs that will be installed at metro stations in Berlin.

First Data currently operates around 30 ATMs for Urbanis, the company responsible for public spaces within Berlin’s public transport system. Expansion of this network expansion supports Urbanis’s goal to extend public services and provide convenient access to cash in the city centre. In the future, more and more passengers using Berlin’s Public Transport Service will be able to withdraw cash, for example on their way to work.
